Day 1 – 6:30 a.m. next morning and seeds have soaked overnight for 10 1/2 hrs. Time for the 1st rinse.

Rinsing procedure

  • drain water through the the lid
  • add 1 1/2 cups of filtered water to each jar
  • swirl to rinse seeds
  • pour water off through the lids
  • distribute seeds around jar by rolling jars
  • place in sprouting rack upside down
  • cover with towels

Drain water through the lid.

Add 1 1/2 cups of filtered water.

The following video demonstrates how I “swirl” the broccoli seeds after putting 1 1/2 cups of filtered water in the jar.

This demonstrates how after “swirling” and draining the broccoli seeds I rotate the jar to distribute the seeds as evenly as possible in the jar. The jars are then placed into the sprouting rack.

Place jars in sprouting rack.

Cover with towels for light and dust control.
